Baseline Audio Labs

Duration 4m

Chris Goosman is the owner and chief engineer at Baseline Audio Labs. A lifetime fan of music and sound he spent the first 15 years of his audio career as a recording engineer in various positions from staff engineer to designer and studio owner working in the later days of analog and from the early days of digital. After several years of freelance engineering and mastering Chris set out to build a state of the art mastering facility of his own in 2005 and Baseline Audio Labs was born, combining the best in both analog and digital tools and techniques to give clients the best possible treatment to their art. A musician from a very early age, Chris uses his experience to help the artists hear the ideal version of themselves. As a classically trained percussionist, a touring bass player, and a 20 year veteran of the guitar he intimately understands the various parts of the music and how those sounds weave together and work together. He is also active in the wider audio community and in the education of tomorrows engineers and has taught Audio Technology courses at Washtenaw Community College and the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance, developing the curriculum for several classes. He is a member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES), The Producers and Engineers Wing of The Recording Academy (The GRAMMYs), the Association for Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC) and a life member of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) For more information on Baseline Audio Labs visit their website here .
