Early this month, a Filipino American mother and son were targets of Asian hostility and were badly beaten in Queens, NY as they were walking towards the train heading home from lunch. Expletives were hurled at them after which the aggressor , a woman inside an SUV threw water bottles at them. Things turned for the worse when mom Cecille threw the bag with food into their vehicle as part of her instinctive reaction.
