The Authentic Champion : Toastmaster Luisa Montalvo - S1-E31

Authenticity - Champion and Toastmaster Extraordinaire, Luisa Montalvo was born and raised a native of South Texas. She moved to Austin Texas, where she worked for Abbott Laboratories for 25 years, then retired at the young age of 53. For 8 years. Luisa has been busy rescues, foster's, and transports homeless dogs all over the United States of America. She contributes to our community and has cared for over 1000 homeless dogs over thew years.


Luisa joined Toastmasters International in 1989 as a regular member of her local club. She had an active membership for 4 years, and then rejoined in 2013. She was a competitor in the International speech contest in 2019, against hundreds of other participants from hailing from 143 countries. Luisa placed 2nd in the world. Then, she competed again in 2024, and placed 1st! She has International recognition, and is the 1st Hispanic to ever achieve first place with Toastmasters.

She loves saving animals, giving inspiring speeches, and making friends along the way. She is legendary and making her mother proud. Join me in welcoming Luisa Montalvo.
