During that time, he has helped build a student council of nearly three hundred and eighty students. He has spoken at conferences all across the United States about school culture and the importance of creating opportunities for students to learn. He is the recipient of the prestigious Earl Reum Award as well as the Warren Shull Award for the State of California. He has co-authored a book called Leading from Within. He works with schools throughout the United States.
