This topic is tailormade for Dr. Lynne. Being an elder is a respected and honorable position across cultures. Elders such as our parents, grandparents, community members, aunts and uncles are who we have traditionally sought out for wisdom about challenges we are facing. We long to learn from their stories about going through those same challenges. But social media and the internet have changed all of that. Baby Boomers and Gen X elders did not grow up on the internet or social media and are finding it difficult to give advice to the younger generations about the challenges presented by both.
