Welcome to Friends Of The Wild with Petri's Place, where we'll take you on a journey through the lives of urban, native wildlife such as opossums, skunks, raccoons, and many more!  We'll share inspiring stories and provide valuable insights into how you can become an animal lover who creates positive change for wildlife in your local neighborhoods. One of our main focuses is on wildlife rehabilitation, which plays a crucial role in saving injured or orphaned animals.  We'll guide you through the process of rescuing and rehabilitating these animals, from what to do when you find a baby or wounded wild animal, to how to work with a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. We'll also share tips on how to create a safe and welcoming environment for urban wildlife in your own backyard, including planting native vegetation, providing food and water sources, and building wildlife-friendly structures.  You'll learn about the challenges these animals face in urban environments, and how you can make a difference in their lives.
