You Survived… But At What Cost? Season 6 Ep 26

What if the strength everyone praises…
is actually the wound no one sees?

In this deeply honest and eye-opening episode of Girl Talk Mental Health, your host Virginia Dale Manning, LPC-S sits down with Kerri Francis, LPC to unpack the unspoken cost of growing up in survival mode.

This isn’t just about trauma…
This is about the kind of survival that looks like success on the outside—but feels like exhaustion, anxiety, and emotional disconnection on the inside.

If you’ve ever:
• Been “the strong one” in your family
• Learned to suppress your needs just to keep the peace
• Struggled to rest without guilt
• Felt like you’re always bracing for something to go wrong
…this conversation is for you.

💔 Because survival mode doesn’t just protect you…
It programs you.

And what once kept you alive…
may now be quietly keeping you stuck.

What’s one way survival mode showed up in your life that you didn’t recognize until now?
