Shannon Forsythe
Biography
Shannon Forsythe is the Co/Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Run 2 Rescue. She and her husband, Bartley, co/founded Run 2 Rescue in 2012 to reach, rescue and restore victims of sex trafficking. Shannon was instrumental in rescuing their first girl in June 2012 and has gone on to work with over 300 survivors. From this work, Shannon has created 40 hours of trauma care implementation training. Shannon has also been featured in People magazine, vice.com, the Mountain Democrat, the Las Vegas Sun, the Orange County Register, Mission Radio and other online resources. She received the Women of Significance Award for Courage from Soroptimist International of Corona. Shannon has been asked to speak at numerous churches and venues including Cal State Dominguez Hills, Cal State LA, Concordia,
Awareness Campaigns throughout the US, as well as the USC Human Trafficking
Symposium. She has also been recognized for her work by Eric Linder, member of the State Assembly, Herb Higgins, Mayor of the city of Norco, Richard D. Roth, Senator 31st District, Eugene Montanez, Mayor of the City of Corona, and John F. Tavaglione Second District Supervisor Riverside County, she has also received congressional recognition from the US House of Representatives. What started with another mom's cry for help in locating her daughter, Run 2 Rescue has worked with multiple girls from California, Missouri, Florida, Texas, Nebraska and Las Vegas and has trained hundreds of people to join the fight in ending modern day slavery
