Born with a congenital heart defect, Julianne's life began with a challenging battle for survival. At the age of 5, life-saving surgery became her first triumph, setting the stage for the indomitable spirit that would define her path. Despite being advised to lead a more sedentary life, Julianne defied expectations by not only pursuing an active lifestyle but also achieving the extraordinary – running half-marathons and becoming a mother to two beautiful children.
Married to her high-school sweetheart, Julianne and her husband built a life filled with career successes, travel, and academic achievements. However, as Julianne rose in her career in the skilled nursing sector, her husband faced mental health challenges that tragically culminated in his untimely death when their children were just 7 and 3.
But the challenges didn't end there. A legal battle ensued as her father-in-law sought partial custody of the children, leading to three arduous years of court battles. Julianne, however, emerged victorious as the court system ultimately dismissed the case.
Despite these hardships, Julianne's career continued to soar. From the President of a major skilled nursing provider with 320 locations across 21 states, employing 35,000, to founding and successfully selling her own company in 2022, Julianne's professional journey is nothing short of remarkable.
Now a (soon to be 6x) published author, Julianne shares her experiences, detailing how she overcame adversity to create a life she loves. Her children, once young survivors of tragedy, have grown into remarkable young adults—one pursuing a career in medicine, the other completing a degree in winemaking.
