Powerful. Driven. Bold. Compassionate. If one were to describe the character of Dr. Pierce, these words plus so many more would not do him justice. Hailing from Bed-Stuy, an urban section of Brooklyn, New York, Garry “Pearl” Pierce is a man after God’s own heart. As a dedicated servant, teacher and lover of the Word of God, he was called to ministry in 2001 while under the leadership of Bishop C.D. Gearing, Jr. at Zion Full Gospel World Ministries. During his tenure at Zion, Pierce served in numerous leadership capacities including being an ordained deacon and minister (2002) as well as an Assistant Pastor.
In 2005, Dr. Pierce established a non-denominational organization, Ambassadors for Christ Worldwide Ministries, Inc. where he leads the movement to assist families in need from financial blessings to personal and spiritual counseling. Just like the God he serves; Dr. Pierce has no respect of person when it comes to showing love and compassion towards people nor does he shy away from sharing God’s word. In 2010, Dr. Pierce started volunteering with various justice and juvenile correctional facilities throughout the state of Georgia to positively and spiritually impact the lives of prisoners. And in 2013, he was appointed as the Assistant Chaplain at Jackson State Prison in Butts County, Georgia.
In 2012, Dr. Pierce was called to pastor, and he established Kingdom Life Church Worldwide Ministries in Decatur, GA. And on April 29, 2012, the first service was held with the foundation built on love. In 2017, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Dr. Pierce changed the ministry name to Kingdom Life Christian Center as it is a hub for community outreach and personal and spiritual growth. Kingdom Life holds weekly worship services and Bible studies, as well as actively serves the surrounding community by way of their Cub Scouts chapter and Food Pantry ministry. Since its conception, Kingdom Life, has become a pillar of hope and love throughout the Metro-Atlanta area as the mission to “address the needs of the people and strive to lift up the name of Jesus in our community and the world through our commitment, praise, worship, evangelism and economic development.”
Here at Kingdom Life Christian Center, Dr. Pierce teaches that ministry extends beyond the four walls of the church. Sometimes we must go above and beyond the call of duty. We must lend a helping hand to those in need. Prayer is necessary and effective in this hour. Dr. Pierce answered the invitation when summoned to join a mass of leaders from all over the world in Brunswick, Georgia, Friday November 19, 2021, during the course of Ahmaud Arbery. The prayers of the righteous availeth much and the outcome of the trial was proof that the prayers bombarded heaven and God heard the cries of the hearts of his leaders pouring out. Dr “Pearl” Pierce was elated to be a part of this life-changing movement.
By the grace of God, Dr. Pierce has been married to First Lady Toni Pierce for over 30 years and they share the legacy of two daughters and one son. A graduate of Georgia Southwestern University and a Masters's graduate of Luther Rice College and Seminary, Pierce is a veteran of the US Marine Corp. and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. In the summer of 2019, he earned his Doctorate of Theology from the Carolina College of Theology. It is the mission of Dr. Pierce to provide outreach ministry services by consistently addressing the needs of the complete person through effectively ministering the word of God to the people of God, through teaching, preaching, and outreach.
