What happens when men are taught to be strong but never taught how to heal?
In this powerful episode of Girl Talk Mental Health, host Virginia Dale Manning, LPC-S — The Realist Therapist sits down with special guest Dontay Williams, LPC to explore a silent crisis happening in homes, marriages, workplaces, and friendships across the world.
Men are grieving.
Men are depressed.
Men are overwhelmed.
But many have been conditioned to suffer silently.
From childhood messages like “man up” and “boys don’t cry,” to cultural expectations that equate emotional vulnerability with weakness, countless men are fighting internal battles they feel they must face alone.
In this episode, we unpack:
✔ Why many men struggle to talk about grief and depression
✔ How suppressed emotions impact mental and physical health
✔ What loved ones often misunderstand about men’s emotional struggles
This conversation is not about blaming men.
It’s about understanding them.
Because behind many “strong” men is a story no one ever asked them to tell.
If you are a man carrying silent pain, or someone who loves a man who struggles to open up, this episode could change the way you understand mental health forever.
You are not alone.
And healing does not require suffering in silence.
And if conversations like this matter to you, subscribe to Girl Talk Mental Health so more people struggling silently can find hope.

There are people who scream because they’re hurting…
And then there are people who became so skilled at surviving… nobody ever notices the pain.
In this deeply emotional and psychologically powerful Girl Talk Mental Health conversation, host Virginia Dale Manning, LPC-S and special guest Lynda Carmouche LCSW-S unpack the hidden reality of trauma that learned how to behave.
The kind of trauma that:
• keeps showing up to work
• answers “I’m fine”
• smiles in public
• serves everybody else
• prays through the pain
• performs while privately unraveling
This isn’t always the trauma that looks “broken.”
Sometimes it looks:
• successful
• responsible
• spiritual
• nurturing
• independent
• emotionally intelligent
But underneath the polished behavior…
there’s exhaustion. Hypervigilance. Fear of disappointing people. Emotional suppression. Survival patterns mistaken for personality traits.
If you’ve ever felt emotionally exhausted while everyone praised your strength… this conversation will feel like someone finally turned the light on.… this channel was built for you.

You say you’re broke…
But what if the real reason you’re stuck financially…
has nothing to do with money?
What if it’s:
• The trauma you never processed
• The boundaries you never set
• The identity you never healed
• The patterns you keep repeating
In this eye-opening, truth-shifting episode of Girl Talk Mental Health (GTMH), Virginia Dale Manning, LPC-S sits down with a special guest Dr. Shelbi Bradley to unpack a controversial but life-changing truth:
Therapy is not an expense… it’s a wealth-building strategy.
Not just financially—
but emotionally, spiritually, relationally, and generationally.
💔 You’ve invested in:
• People who drained you
• Relationships that distracted you
• Habits that delayed you
But when it comes to investing in your healing…
suddenly it feels “too expensive”?
This episode will challenge that.
✨ In This Episode, You’ll Discover:
• Why unhealed trauma silently drains your income potential
• How emotional patterns affect your financial decisions
• The hidden cost of “being strong” but unsupported
• Why therapy helps you make better money, not just feel better
• How healing unlocks clarity, confidence, and capacity to build wealth
Some of the most “broke” decisions…
are made by people who refuse to invest in their healing.
And some of the most wealthy transformations…
start in a therapy session.
This Episode Is For You If:
• You feel stuck financially despite working hard
• You keep attracting the same draining situations
• You’re tired of surviving and ready to build something sustainable
• You’ve been saying “I can’t afford therapy”… but keep paying for chaos
If you’ve ever thought:
• “I don’t have time”
• “I can figure it out myself”
• “I’ll start later”
• “I’m not that bad”
Because the truth is:
You’re already paying…
In stress. In confusion. In cycles. In missed opportunities.
Subscribe now to Girl Talk Mental Health (GTMH)
and start building a life where your healing pays you back.

What if the reason your family struggles with money… relationships… and peace isn’t about effort — it’s about emotional inheritance?
On this powerful episode of Girl Talk Mental Health, host Virginia Dale Manning, LPC-S Author of Set Apart, and the Realist Therapist — sits down with a special guest Valerie Kuykendall- Rogers, LPC-S to unpack a truth most families never talk about:
You cannot build generational wealth on unhealed generational wounds.
Many families pass down trauma, silence, survival mindsets, and emotional pain long before they pass down money.
And until someone becomes the healer in the family tree, cycles repeat.
In this episode, we explore:
• Why emotional trauma quietly sabotages financial stability
• The link between mental health, family patterns, and money mindset
• Why some people feel guilty when they succeed
• How faith and emotional healing restore generational direction
• What it really means to become the cycle breaker in your bloodline
Through personal insight, therapeutic wisdom, and faith-based truth, Virginia and her guest reveal how healing the mind is the first step to building legacy.
Because true wealth isn’t just money.
It’s peace.
It’s wisdom.
It’s emotional freedom.
It’s leaving your children better than you found the world.
And the healing can start today.

🚨 What if digital marketing isn’t just about selling… but about being SEEN?
Tomorrow on Chronically Healthy Life, host Kristy Boyd Johnson sits down with special guest Dayo Bakare, a software engineer, digital marketer, product builder, and digital entrepreneur who is passionate about helping people and businesses use technology to grow, connect, and create impact.
And let’s be honest… if your business is amazing but nobody knows about it, that’s not a business strategy — that’s a very expensive secret. 😏
In this episode, Kristy and Dayo dive into:
✨ Why visibility and engagement matter for every business
✨ How content can become one of your most powerful marketing tools
✨ Why “content is king” when it actually connects with people
✨ How local businesses can use platforms like Facebook to reach the right audience
✨ Why entrepreneurs need passion, focus, market research, and a little less “trying to do 47 things at once” energy
✨ Dayo’s vision for Suit Me, an AI-powered app designed to help people connect more authentically based on how they feel, what they need, and who truly aligns with them
Dayo shares that digital marketing is about using tools to reach your desired goals, and that great content can help people become part of your mission. He also reminds entrepreneurs that innovation dies when we try to do too much — focus on what you can do well, know your market, and build from there.
This conversation is for business owners, creators, coaches, entrepreneurs, dreamers, builders, and anyone who knows they have something powerful to offer… but needs the right strategy to stop being the best-kept secret in town.

In Part 2 of Onion Soup, Dexter speaks with Saumil Manek about moving from anxiety, distraction, and fear of silence into peace through self-love and consistent daily practices like meditation, breathwork, cold plunges, and sound therapy. Saumil explains the balance of darkness and light within, the importance of learning to sit with the “dark,” and why saying no and putting yourself first is necessary to be whole for others. He describes building a wellness-focused life with his partner through their business Union Is Creation, offering workplace stress and anxiety support via movement/meditation, sound therapy, breathing, cold plunge, and infrared, including events in Houston. IS THERE A RIGHT WAY TO GRIEVE? ৷ Its Your Life Radio
Join It’s Your Life With Dr. James JC Cooley for a heartfelt and compassionate conversation with Paula Shaw — Life Transitions Expert, Grief Specialist, Keynote Speaker, Media Host, and Author — as they explore one of life’s most personal and emotional experiences: grief.
In this meaningful sit-down discussion, we talk about how grief is created through loss — whether it’s the loss of a loved one, a relationship, health, a career, a dream, or a way of life. Grief is deeply connected to love, attachment, memories, and the meaning we place on what has been lost.
This episode provides valuable insight into the healing process and reminds viewers that there is no single “right” way to grieve. Everyone experiences grief differently, and healing does not follow a fixed timeline. Some days may feel manageable, while others may feel overwhelming — and that is completely part of the human experience.
Paula Shaw shares powerful guidance on coping with loss, expressing emotions in healthy ways, finding support, rebuilding life after loss, and learning how grief can evolve over time. The conversation also explores how healing does not necessarily mean forgetting, but rather learning how to carry memories with greater peace, acceptance, and emotional strength.
Whether you are personally grieving, supporting someone through loss, or simply seeking understanding about emotional healing, this episode offers comfort, wisdom, and hope.

Reclaiming Your Joy!
"Joy is not something you find again, it’s something you choose to return to!" by Sanet Van Breda
Joy doesn’t disappear. It gets buried. Buried under responsibility, stress, disappointment, and the quiet belief that life has to be serious to be meaningful. Over time, many people disconnect from joy without even realizing it. They function, they achieve, they keep going, but something feels missing.
Reclaiming your joy is not about waiting for the perfect moment or fixing everything first. It’s about making a decision. A decision to reconnect with what makes you feel alive, present, and real. Joy is found in small moments. In laughter. In stillness. In doing something simply because it feels good not because it’s productive. It requires awareness. It requires permission. And sometimes, it requires letting go of the weight you’ve been carrying for too long.
🎯 3 Questions for the Audience
When last did you feel genuine jo not relief, not distraction, but real joy?
What has been getting in the way of you experiencing joy more often?
What is one simple thing you can do today just because it brings you joy?
💎 I AM Statement
I am open to joy.
I give myself permission to feel good.
I release what weighs me down.
I choose moments that bring me alive.
I am reconnecting with my joy.

This week on Frank About Health, I welcome physician, researcher, designer, humanitarian, and visionary Lacie Cupani for a powerful conversation about healing beyond traditional healthcare.
Known for transforming her medical background into a mission-driven fashion movement, Dr. Cupani shares how creativity, compassion, and purpose can become powerful tools for recovery, resilience, and personal transformation. Her journey from the world of medical research into global fashion and humanitarian outreach demonstrates that healing can take many forms and that innovation often happens when we are willing to challenge conventional thinking.
The conversation also highlights the importance of purpose-driven leadership, finding opportunity within adversity, and creating solutions that uplift people both medically and emotionally. For caregivers, patients, entrepreneurs, and anyone seeking inspiration, Lacie's story serves as a reminder that true healing often begins when we embrace our unique gifts and use them to serve others.
Learn about her contributions to an Orphanage which has benefitted from many of the resources that Cupani Fashion Group has provided over the years as well as her upcoming fundraiser in Sicily to be held in 2027.
