Many of us may be facing this challenge now or will be soon. In this episode, I chat with Kim & Mike Barnes, award-winning journalists with more than 30 years of experience in TV. While their two kids are recent college graduates, they are currently caring for parents in their 80s, including Mike’s mother, who has advanced Alzheimer’s, and Kim’s single mother, who faces different challenges. Drawing on their personal and professional experiences, Kim & Mike recognized a need for advice and resources for adult children in similar situations. So, in 2021, they launched Parenting Aging Parents to provide caregivers with content, connection, and community. Their goal is to ensure that no one feels alone during this challenging time and has the information and resources needed to navigate this stage of life.
