John Aubin, a native of Amherst, Massachusetts, is an award-winning Architect, Designer, and Developer and is the owner of Open Square, the country’s largest zero net energy mixed-use development. John studied architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, University of California, Berkeley, and City College of New York. He is a licensed Architect in New York and Massachusetts. Open Square is a thriving community of creators, makers, and businesses located between two canals and powered by renewable energy. Since 2000, John has used Open Square to build a model approach to designing spaces, objects & community.
