Meditation is more of a noun than a verb. It’s a state of consciousness that already exists, and the “practice” of meditation is really the practice of being comfortably still amid the busyness of our own mind and the chaos of the world around us. When we meditate, we are acknowledging our oneness with a foundational reality that doesn’t ever change or waver. By returning again and again to the meditative state, we gradually come to know it as the quality of our deepest self, and to carry that connection with us, even in our outward-facing lives.
Creating a personal mission statement is a powerful way of identifying your core values and principles, your chosen way of expressing yourself, and is a way of shining a light on your personal life path. To identify what is truly important to you in this way creates a healthy sense of self and a way to ground and center yourself quickly in any situation. A personal mission statement reminds you of who you are, where you’re going, and what matters to you.
All of existence is in motion, and is constantly leaving behind what was for a newer and more expansive version of itself. And we are an intrinsic part of this ever-expanding stream of growth. If we meet our difficulties with an open mind and heart, we allow them to bring needed change and evolution to our lives. If we don’t try and cling to the comfort of the past, we find that our true place of health and wellness is to move with the eternal present. Growing slowly and deliberately is how it’s done.
By design, each of us is only here on this planet for a limited amount of time. And we don’t get to know how long that time will last. Meanwhile, we’re all born with a set of gifts to share with our world while we’re here. This set of gifts is our Genius, and the task of sharing our Genius gifts with the world before we leave is left for each individual to figure out for themselves. Most of the time, sharing our Genius requires taking a substantial risk, a leap of faith, or a even a quantum leap to do so. The alternative is to remain a smaller and less expansive version of ourselves. So, the risk of staying small when we are meant to grow is a greater risk than taking a chance and falling short.
The dilemma of finding our own path is a higher-order developmental task that each of us is given to do within the scope of our life. To achieve this, we need to first find the inner compass that points toward our individual life direction. This inner compass is our Genius- our storehouse of expressive energy that has something important to say and to do. Learning to listen to it is a skill that can be developed and practiced with The Genius Way Process.
Each person has an indispensable part to play in the greater story in which they find themself. Whether or not it’s clear to us, we have been born with a set of gifts to share with the world around us that will add a certain color and flavor that no one else can share. Making sure that we become as authentic a version of ourselves as possible is one of the tasks of life, and sharing that fully realized version is how we continue to grow on our Genius Way.

To live a Genius-aware life, we need to start to see how our Genius may show up in our everyday lives. Instead of thinking about Genius as creating a masterpiece or getting large scale recognition for something, it’s important to notice the small ways in which we all express ourselves in unique ways, even when no one is looking. When we can see our unique Genius operating in the simple things that we do, it becomes easier to tap into it when we’re wanting to express something that is deeper and more complex. Look to your eccentricities and oddities for the things that are uniquely you because they represent your inborn Genius.

Gaining traction in the direction of your life purpose is like building a house. The first requirement is that the foundation needs to be strong enough to support what you're building. If your foundation is built on an inauthentic version of you, the house will eventually fall. If you build your house on the foundation of your Genius, the result will be a life of meaning, purpose, and personal fulfillment. Remember that there’s only ever going to be one of you in all of existence, so don’t hold back who you are.

You can always tell what someone’s inner environment is by what they offer outwards to others and to the world. When you can offer kindess to others, it demonstrates the quality of your inner world and is a silent testament to your inner state. If you can afford to be kind outwardly, you are demonstrating your inner spaciousness and inner wealth.

Each moment we live is as unique and precious as our individual Genius selves. Once they are gone, they will never be repeated, so the only intelligent way to live is to embrace the present moment with as much interest, openness, and creativity as we possibly can. For our psychological and spiritual well-being, it’s important to understand the necessity of creating inner spaciousness as a daily practice. As we cultivate our interiority by paying close attention to what’s on the surface of our awareness, we can begin to create more and more space to see into the depths of our being for our innate Genius qualities and gifts. Taking the time to unplug from our schedules for the explicit purpose of seeing ourselves from a more relaxed and calm space can pay great dividends on your personal life journey

Weight loss has nothing to do with weight or calories, or diets, meal plans, or exercise actually. Why do you think so many people struggle to lose weight when it’s as simple as “eat less, move more”? Because it’s NOT that simple.
“Eat less, move more” is talking as if we don’t have emotions or hormones or beliefs that we have ingrained in our subconscious years ago. As if we just act out of logic.
I can guarantee you that after 20 years in the health and fitness industry and after battling weight issues a couple of times in my life that weight loss has nothing to do with calories, meal plans, or workouts.
Weight loss has everything to do with what you’re thinking, feeling and therefore how you’re acting.
Diets, meal plans, weight loss pills, rigid workout regimens, doing 1000 crunches a day, or whatever other nonsense you’ve been told to do… will NEVER work.
Why do you think that the majority of people who’ve had weight loss surgeries gain all the weight back within 5-10 years?
Because it doesn’t have to do with calories!! So what does work, Leks? You’re asking. Glad you asked!
