S6Ep4 Trauma Drama University

In this episode of Make Mental Health Matter Show, Kelli chats with Gina Heumann. She describes herself as a Renaissance woman - professor, author, speaker, architect, designer, adoption and mental health advocate, wife, and mother. Her youngest son was neglected by his foster mom prior to adopting him, resulting in over a decade of chaos and frustration. Through her research, Gina tried and tested many therapies and treatments to help him overcome attachment trauma and finally found a path to healing. She wrote a book (Love Never Quits), presented her story at TEDx, and is now the founder of Trauma Drama University - a new nonprofit dedicated to helping parents dealing with trauma behaviors.
