S8Ep3 Perinatal Mental Health is Important

In today's episode of Make Mental Health Matter, Kelli is honored to bring her sister Michaela Zach onto the show and share her impact she is making on perinatal mental health. Michaela is a International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and a Lamaze Certified childbirth educator from Chandler, AZ. She has been working in the maternal child health field since 2002. She owns her own private lactation practice and also works for a pediatric office part-time. She has practiced as a birth doula, birth and breastfeeding educator and has held roles as a faculty member with CAPPA and is a previous board member for the Arizona Lactation Consultants Association and the Arizona Breastfeeding Coalition. She has advanced training in perinatal mental health and is very passionate about this field. She, herself, suffered from postpartum depression with her children and hopes to make a difference in other birthing parents lives. Michaela is married and has three children and four dogs.
