Ben Biddick lives a life of service. His greatest joy is helping transform his clients' challenges into their greatest successes. At an early age, it became very clear to Ben there were no guarantees in life. He sought to respond to the gift of life he'd been given by relieving suffering, empowering the powerless, and protecting the vulnerable. His journey of service led him to deploy as a combat medic in Iraq, contribute to large scale emergency management, perform hostage and crisis negotiation, employ crisis intervention for people grappling with suicidal and homicidal ideation during the pandemic, work as a nurse in military, correctional, and civilian environments for decades, and more. He knew he'd have to understand the reality people experienced if he was going to partner with them to create effective solutions to their challenges.
Ben understands the impact of trauma, the effects of acute and chronic stress, the potency of restorative practices, the satisfaction of conflict resolution, the importance of validation, the value of mindfulness, the foundations of physical and mental health, the exponential returns on investment that stem from creating psychological safety, and flourishing employee recruitment and retention that draws high integrity talent seeking longevity of meaning and purpose.
His experience with clients spans a wide range of human experience from trafficked children to professional athletes, from former gang members to combat Veterans, from the incarcerated to celebrity chefs, from survivors of abuse and exploitation to First Responders spiraling due to secondary trauma, from inner city educators to dementia care partners, from those struggling with addiction to executives of multi-million dollar companies who crave the wellbeing of their employees as they fulfill noble organizational objectives.

Describing herself as a ""very young"" 70-ish, Janice L. Wood has always had a passion for serving others. In her early 40s, Janice was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (A.D.D.), which helped her recognize similar signs in her elementary school-aged son. This personal journey sparked a desire to better understand and manage A.D.D., and it helped her gain valuable skills for navigating life's challenges.
After retiring from the city, Janice decided to embark on a second career in insurance, driven by her desire to help others navigate the complexities of the Medicare system. Instead of working for a single insurance carrier, Janice chose to create her own company, offering a wide range of products from various carriers to provide her clients with more options and tailored solutions.
During the pandemic, Janice's entrepreneurial spirit led her to start a social media show, A Senior Citizens Forum, which addresses topics relevant to seniors and their families. The show can be found on e360TV and provides valuable information on a variety of subjects. Looking to the future, Janice hopes to write a book highlighting the important topics covered on the forum, further expanding her mission to educate and empower seniors.

S10Ep11 Reclaiming Life: Alexis Mckinley’s Triumph Over Addiction
On this episode of Make Mental Health Matter, Kelli chats with Alexis Mckinley.
She grew up in addiction. It got so bad many times that she tried to do anything to end everything. She welcomed the silence, but was too chicken to do it herself. It took getting a 20 year prison sentence and some very passionate officers for her to see her worth and realize she wanted to do whatever it took to not only survive… she wanted to thrive. She has been sober going on 11 years now. She won’t say her demons have magically gone away, but she is no longer welcoming the darkness she once was. There are many layers to her story, but that is just a snippet in very short form.
Alexis Mckinley has battled her own demons for as long as she can remember. Now she is surviving proof that if you want it anything is possible.

S11Ep7 From People-Pleaser to Empowered: Wendi Zimmer’s Story
On this episode of the Make Mental Health Matter Show, Kelli chats with Wendi Zimmer.
In this information age, we are inundated with videos, podcasts, websites, social media posts, and many other sources of information that give us strategies and resources to achieve anything we want. From weight loss to learning another language, we don’t have to look far to find people telling us what to do. The problem is that no one tells us HOW to achieve more, and we often are not ready to apply the information we receive. We allow our fears and doubts to get in the way and derail our belief in ourselves. To get what we want and to truly transform our lives, we must start by working on ourselves. We all have a power within us that helps us achieve what we want in life. This power is called FORCE, and when used correctly, it can transform who we are, how we view ourselves, and how we achieve what we want.
Growing up as a people pleaser and “fixer,” Wendi survived by hiding her struggles. On the outside, she appeared to have it all together, but on the inside, she was miserable. She developed a process to use the power she has inside - her force - to believe in herself, and now she teaches others to do the same. Wendi is an expert in mindset development, a professor at Texas A&M University, an educational consultant, and the owner of Learning Engaged and The Mindset Factor. As an educator for over 20 years, she has seen the impact destructive mindsets have on learning, self-esteem, and well-being in herself, her colleagues, and her students.
