In this episode of Accelerated Health with Sara Banta, I reveal why muscle is one of the most overlooked organs of longevity and metabolic health. As we age, losing muscle can quietly increase blood sugar issues, stubborn weight gain, fatigue, inflammation, and insulin resistance — even if you’re eating “healthy.”
You’ll discover how muscle acts like a metabolic shield, helping your body absorb glucose more efficiently, improve insulin sensitivity, stabilize energy, and protect against chronic disease. I also explain why women especially struggle with muscle loss during perimenopause and menopause, and what you can do right now to rebuild strength and support your metabolism naturally.
If you’ve been struggling with belly fat, blood sugar swings, cravings, low energy, or weight that won’t budge, this episode could completely change the way you think about fitness and health.

🚨 WHAT IF YOUR BODY ISN’T BROKEN…
it’s just out of frequency?
This Friday on Chronically Healthy Life, I’m sitting down with Carmela Hennessey, owner and founder of Atrium Beauty & Wellness Solutions in Katy, Texas — holistic beauty practitioner, biofeedback specialist, bioresonance frequency therapist, and trauma & addiction recovery coach.
And let me tell you… this conversation goes way beyond “eat better and take more supplements.” Because apparently, your body is not a stubborn toddler throwing a tantrum. It may just be screaming for coherence. Cute, right? 😏
We’re diving into:
✨ Why your body was intelligently designed to heal
✨ How your thoughts, emotions, light, oxygen, hydration, and environment impact your health
✨ Why whole foods and supplements may NOT be the first place to start
✨ How biofeedback and bioresonance may help reveal where your body is under stress
✨ Why nervous system safety may be the missing piece in true optimization
Carmela shares that many people are “playing Russian roulette” with wellness — trying random supplements, cleanses, protocols, and trends without first understanding their body’s terrain. And honestly… that one hit a little too close to home.
This episode is for anyone who feels tired, foggy, inflamed, emotionally stuck, energetically drained, or like they are doing “all the right things” but still not feeling right.
Because sometimes the answer is not doing more.
Sometimes the answer is aligning better.

Nick Musica is an executive coach and leadership advisor to founders and leadership teams navigating growth, complexity, and change. He works with leaders who have built successful companies and now find themselves at the center of everything—decisions, direction, and performance.
His coaching focuses on helping leaders see clearly, take ownership, and lead with intention. Nick challenges clients to confront the patterns, assumptions, and behaviors that create bottlenecks at the top of the organization. From there, he supports them in making deliberate decisions, strengthening accountability, and building leadership teams that can operate without constant oversight.
Rather than offering advice or quick fixes, Nick uses a structured coaching approach to create clarity and drive meaningful action. His work helps leaders shift from reacting to leading, from being the hub of the business to developing others who can carry it forward.

Onion Soup host Dexter interviews clinical psychotherapist and author Chad Taylor about his book “It’s You. Oh fuck it’s me,” exploring how failing relationships often reflect one’s own subconscious patterns rather than the other person. Chad describes his broad psychotherapy work, his belief that therapy is an ancient, normalized practice, and that most behavior is driven by subconscious programming formed in early childhood (especially ages 0–7). He explains how emotional rejection and other experiences can create protective “walls” (ego/egocentricity) that block connection, and frames healing as returning to the true self by making the unconscious conscious. They discuss why many people seek healing around midlife (around 35–40), Chad’s own rock-bottom transformation after achieving external success, and how therapists support clients through ego-death-like change without imposing judgment, touching on projection, archetypes, spirituality, and interconnectedness.

In this episode, we take a deep dive into one of the most challenging aspects of dementia care—communication. As cognitive decline progresses, the way individuals process language, respond to questions, and express their needs changes significantly. This episode offers practical, compassionate strategies to help caregivers navigate these challenges with more confidence and clarity.
At the heart of this discussion is a powerful yet simple technique: the 90-second rule—a communication approach that encourages caregivers to pause and allow time for processing before repeating or stepping in. This small shift can significantly reduce frustration and create more meaningful interactions.
What You’ll Learn in This Episode
Why Communication Breaks Down
Understanding dementia as a neurological condition, not just memory loss
How slowed processing impacts conversation and responses
Why traditional communication methods often fail
The 90-Second Rule in Action
Allowing time for understanding and response
Reducing agitation and emotional overwhelm
Supporting independence in everyday tasks
Common Communication Challenges (and What to Do Instead)
Language & Expression
Difficulty expressing needs like hunger, pain, or discomfort
Word-finding struggles and incomplete sentences
Repetitive questions and conversations
What helps:
Simple yes/no questions, visual cues, patience, and validation
Nonverbal Communication
Body language and tone being misunderstood
Emotional responses triggered by rushed or tense interactions
What helps:
Open posture, calm tone, slower pace, and reassuring presence
Understanding Instructions
Confusion with multi-step directions
Difficulty processing abstract language or phrases
What helps:
Breaking tasks into single steps and using clear, literal language
Behavior & Emotional Responses
Agitation, resistance, or withdrawal
Difficulty adjusting to new environments or caregivers
What helps:
Validation, consistency, offering simple choices, and creating familiarity
Key Takeaways for Caregivers
Communication is not just about words—it’s about connection, patience, and presence
Slowing down can dramatically improve understanding and reduce stress
Simple, structured approaches can preserve dignity and independence
Behavior is often a form of communication—look beyond the words
Final Thought
When communication changes, relationships don’t have to suffer. With the right tools and mindset, caregivers can create moments of clarity, comfort, and connection—even in the midst of confusion.

Join us for an enlightening conversation with Jamie, a dedicated mindfulness coach and nurse case manager who has discovered the profound connection between mindful living and abundance. Jamie has created a unique approach that combines traditional mindfulness practices with the healing energy of ethically-sourced crystals to help people find emotional balance in our chaotic world. In this episode, we'll explore how taking intentional, mindful breaks can shift our perspective from scarcity to abundance, allowing us to reconnect with what truly brings us joy and fulfillment. Jamie shares how managing our energetic environment can create more harmony not just within ourselves, but ripple outward to positively impact our communities. Don't miss this transformative discussion about finding inner peace and recognizing the abundance that already surrounds us.
This episode is about being completely comfortable within yourself and taking up your own space without force - not the space of others, because there's always room for everyone to have their own space. You'll learn to recognize when you're on the threshold of abandoning yourself and unconsciously saying "I'm invisible; I don't matter," and instead choose to lovingly walk into situations and say what you need to say. We explore how you can accept others as they are while still taking the space that's necessary for you, whether that's saying goodbye at a family gathering or simply sitting with the patience to find an opening in conversation. The key is acting within integrity with yourself, knowing that when you abandon yourself - no matter how little or big - you're telling yourself you're invisible, when you're actually full of tools and resources to work through this.

Annie Guest returns to Frank About Health one year later to show her resiliency as represented in her design book that she will show excerpts from and we discuss how your inner talents, serve you after recovering from burnout and grief. We discuss some parallel issues in relation to depression, anxiety and other fatigue that occurs however we flesh out the inner tool we need to be attached to in order to keep resiliency alive. We discuss how to tap into our inner talents, wishes and intuition to bring back the passion and motivation in living life after dealing with grief and burnout. Annie's book is a must have and can serve as a roadmap to find your inner creativity and drive towards a resilient life.
Most women don’t call it over‑functioning.
We call it “being responsible,” “being reliable,” “being the strong one.”
But there’s a pattern underneath that title:
You do more.
They do less.
You resent it.
You say nothing.
Then you do even more to avoid the discomfort of changing it.
In this week’s episode of Leadership Beyond Burnout, I break down the over‑functioning → under‑functioning → resentment loop in real life — at work, at home, and in your closest relationships. I walk through why it’s so hard to step out of this pattern (identity, guilt, and nervous system wiring) and share small, practical experiments you can try this week to start doing less, letting others do more, and reclaiming your energy.
If you’re angry at everyone and still doing everything, this conversation is for you — and if you’re ready to put the mental load down for a few days, I’ll also share how the Reclaim, Release, and Reset Retreat can support your next chapter.
