Guided by an unbreakable spirit and strong sense of purpose, Pia enrolled in a collegiate Music Performance program, Pia honed her craft as a classically trained Vocalist armed with a Bass Guitar. It was during this time she was hired as a Bass Player by a local Reggae Band. Her talents flourished, and soon she graced the stage, lending her soulful vocals as a background singer to Reggae-Fusion and World Music Artists including Teddy Afro. In a pivotal moment of destiny, Pia stepped into the spotlight, auditioning for American Idol at the age of 23. Her performance captivated hearts and drew admiration from legends like Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul.
