Jeff is a true hydrowarrior, and this will be a truly captivating show delving into Jeff’s extraordinary life, and hearing the remarkable story of living with an invisible condition. Bio: Jeff was born & raised in Ft Collins, CO. After HS, he traveled with a group called Up with People - an internationally known performance group - that took him all over the US and Europe for a year in 1996. Jeff married Catherine (Jr HS sweethearts) in 1999 and they moved to Colorado Springs, CO where they’ve enjoyed living and raising their 3 kids. Jeff is a hydrowarrior - an honorary title for anyone with hydrocephalus. Jeff was born with hydrocephalus and has had (as of 2023) 7 brain surgeries, and 6 other related surgeries because of the condition. In 2018, during a follow-up appointment after one of his recent brain surgeries, Jeff & his wife were sitting in the exam room waiting for the neurosurgeon to come in when overheard a family in the next room and the tone of the conversation sounded like they may have been getting the news that their child was going to have brain surgery. That's when Jeff decided to form a company to help families with hydrocephalus. It took a couple years to get the specifics figured out, but in May, 2022, Hydro with Hope was launched. Our mission at Hydro with Hope is to provide the hydrocephalus community with tangible help and encouragement through online and in-person resources. We also endeavor to increase awareness of hydrocephalus and normalize hydrocephalus-related vocabulary for friends and family of hydrowarriors. One of those resources is a journal we published in early 2023 called "My Hydrowarrior Story". It's a fill-in-the-blank journal designed to walk hydrowarriors and their families through from that first moment of, "my baby's going to have to have WHAT kind of surgery?" to the hospital stay, going home, and beyond. We are excited to get this journal into the hands of every single family living with hydrocephalus. The newest resource we offer is a TV show called “Invisible Condition”. On the show, we chat with amazing individuals who live with all those conditions that you can’t see from the outside – because they’re invisible. We have had amazing guests living and thriving with everything from Hydrocephalus, Multiple Sclerosis, and epilepsy to schizophrenia, POTS, and Fibromyalgia. We also have incredible organizations on the show from around the world who help those with invisible conditions live better lives.
