#getreal #inspiration #getfree
Ravi Bhola combines a unique combination of education: an engineering degree and a masters in Finance. Working for a giant corporation, Ravi was able to bring rational thinking to chaos. Ravi's unique skills and experience launched him into an inquiry about what is entrepreurship.
Ravi discovered 3 unique areas that entrepreneurs are not trained in that cause problems for business success. These are discussed in this fascinating conversation. Ravi started questioning how we raise children, how to retrain adults, and how to bring more entrepreneurial energy to the world.
Ravi retired from corporate America and has launched his own entrepreneurial path. His website: http://www.UrbanFarmsLTD.com, describes his new venture. He is creating 25 indoor farms across the country that will provide 2 tons of healthy food daily. His first location is in South Dakota and is being partially funded by the state and the rest from investors. If you are interested in learning more about this endeavor, please go to Ravi's website and contact him or email him at rbhola@cox.net.
If you would more information about getting involved with Ravi's project, please contact him. He is looking for entrepreneurs looking for a profitable business that is already under development. Let's spread more entrepreneurial energy while creating a new healthy food source for the world.

S2 EP40 | Heidi Across America - Experiencing Slow Travel Through the Heart of America | Heidi Beirl
"Reading Heidi Beierle's book, Heidi Across America, was fascinating. I admired her courage, fitness, tenacity, and dedication to so many things. Our conversation also taught me about new concepts that I had never thought about: slow travel, Adventure Cycling Association, the Good Roads Movement, how roads were created in America, historic roads, bicycle tourism, scenic roads, and America as a community.
Heidi's life is an adventure, and when she felt stuck, she did something about it. She hopes to inspire others who feel stuck. First step, read Heidi's book. It is available wherever books are sold. Second step, make one incremental change which will alter your life over time.
Bio:
Heidi Beierle is the author of the new book, Heidi Across America.
In 2010, Heidi Beierle had just finished her first year of graduate studies in community and regional planning and decided to pedal her bicycle solo from her home on the West Coast across rural America to the Preserving the Historic Road conference in Washington, D.C.
Along the way, Heidi was surprised by the kindness of strangers and the emotional pinch of traveling through Wyoming, where she grew up. Her journey led her through the plains and into the Ozarks, where the heat climbed to agonizing temperatures; every pedal stroke in the heat felt closer to death. By the time she completed the trip, Heidi discovered a newfound compassion for herself and a growing love for her country. Strangers opened their hearts to her, and in turn, she opened her heart to herself.

S2EP39 | Iron Dad Saves Lives By Telling About His Experience | Paul Weigel
"Listen to your body. If your doctor is not listening to you, find another doctor. That's what I learned from my inspiring conversation with Paul Weigel. His doctor's lack of attention to his symptoms almost cost Paul his life. For 5 years, Paul was telling him about what was not right and his doctor ignored it.
Thankfully Paul found another doctor who diagnosed his cancer and Paul began treatment that saved his life. Paul's story is inspiring. As a ""Weigel"" he was used to pushing himself despite pain and illness. He used that to complete an IronMan 6 months after his chemo finished because he was afraid he would die and leave his 3 year old daughter fatherless.
Paul's book, Iron Dad is a compelling one. Our conversation talks about overcoming a difficult childhood, finding love, and overcoming life's hardships.
Thank you, Paul, for being an inspiration.
Bio:
Paul Weigel trained for and completed an Ironman triathlon within 6 months of finishing chemotherapy for colorectal cancer, while raising his then-toddler daughter—giving her love and security despite his fear and uncertainty. Now a young teen, she asked to hear more about that time, and, organically, a memoir was born.
In Iron Dad: A Cancer Survivor’s Story of Discovering Strength, Life, and Love through Fatherhood (June 11, 2024), Weigel celebrates their bond and how to cling to the joy in life, no matter the odds. Still cancer-free 10 years later, he wrote Iron Dad not just for his daughter but to share his story—and hope—with others.
Suzanne Stone, president and CEO of Livestrong, says Iron Dad is “a powerful testament to resilience, courage, and the unbreakable bond between father and child.”
New York Times bestselling author Dean Karnazes says Paul’s story “is sure to energize and inspire you to live every day to the fullest, as he has chosen to do.”

S2 EP42 | "Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover" Dan Henk
"Dan has had quite the life. Growing up all over the world, Dan took refuge in books. His parents encouraged his art, but since he couldn't decide between writing and illustrating, he ended up doing both.
Dan's messages to people are ""Never Give Up"" and ""Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover."" And he should know. He has been through numerous car accidents, brain cancer, and the death of his wife by a hit and run driver.
He has supported himself as a tattoo artist. Dan is promoting his books which he is the illustrator and writer for. He also has guest writers which makes his books even more exciting.
Thank you, Dan, for your inspiration, courage, and heart.
Bio:
Dan’s early career included a year and a half stint drawing political cartoons for Madcap Magazine and illustrating underground projects such as Maximum Rock and Roll. In 1997, after struggling through a violent car crash and a knife fight with a crackhead that severed the tendon on his left thumb, he attended art school. Receiving some commercial and local gallery acclaim for his artwork, he moved to New York City in an attempt to kick start an art career. Heavily immersing himself in the local hardcore scene, he produced artwork for the bands Shai Hulud, Indecision, Koshari, More Complete, Unsound, Coalesce, Most Precious Blood, Locked in a Vacancy, Beyond Reason, Zombie Apocalypse, not to mention various local record labels and venues.
In 2000, he started tattooing, initially working on many musician friends. A year later, in September 2001, he was stricken with brain cancer and underwent surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. Three months after the surgery, he married fellow tattoo artist Monica Castillo.
His work started appearing in both a growing number of tattoo magazines and more fine art influenced tomes. Tattoo related books such as No Regrets, Tattoo Prodigies, and Inside the Tattoo Circus took notice and included features.
Tragedy struck again in 2007, as his wife of 6 years, Monica Henk, was killed on a motorcycle by a hit and run driver. Despite extensive coverage in the local media and vigorous campaigns by both the tattoo and motorcycle community, the culprit was never found.
He moved to Austin, Texas for three years, and started doing a regular comic strip entitled “Rollo & Me” for Tattoo Artist Magazine. Illustrations for Black Static, Litro Magazine, The Horror Zine, and This is Horror followed suit.
His first novel, The Black Seas of Infinity, was published by Anarchy Books in 2011, and he started an illustrated calendar featuring a variety of artists. Deadite Press released the first book with a cover by Dan, a novel entitled “The Sopaths” by Piers Anthony.
A limited edition chapbook “Christmas Is Cancelled” came out courtesy of Splatterpunk in 2013, and in 2014 he started columns for TAM, Tattoo Revue and Skin Art magazines.
A reissue of his debut novel was released by Permuted Press in April 2015, as well as a collection of his short stories entitled “Down Highways In The Dark…By Demons Driven” in August of the same year.
He continued his work for independent magazines, doing art for Red Door Magazine, a slew of books by the imprint Out Of Step, and every issue so far of the British horror zine Splatterpunk. The books “Not Dead”, “Fighting Back”, “Past Indiscretions”, “Insatiable”, “Bloodstains, “Tales for Dark Hours”, “The Red Death” and “The Flood” all featured his work and his third book, “The End of the World” debuted in March of this year.
His illustrated anthology entitled “The Never Dead” featuring 14 authors and 16 stories was just released across all platforms. The upcoming anthology Head Blown Off II will feature one of his stories. You can keep up with all his latest work on his website danhenk.com. Be sure to check out his podcast “Skull Sessions with Dan Henk”. New episodes debut every Thursday across all platforms!

S2 EP43 | How Do We Respond to Trauma with Stephen Rowley
"Today's conversation covered many topics including Steven's memoir, his search for his birth mother, trauma, Jungian psychology and the Willows, where 30,000 babies were born during the 40's and 50's mainly for adoptions. We covered how our culture has changed since those shameful days when young women were ""sent away"" to have their babies.
Steven talks about how he works with people with trauma, and how he helps them move from victim to responsible for their lives. Steven's memoir is fascinating and not only discusses how adopted children have a psychic, subconscious longing, but also his journey through the educational system. Steven spent 40 years in education, getting a PhD from Stanford in Education and is now a Psychotherapist working with clients to create a new empowering story about their lives.

Today's conversation was emotional, educational and can impact our society and culture in an amazing way. Zach has been my weight watchers leader for many years. We have talked about food, losing weight, and exercise as if it is necessary to be a healthy and vibrant member of society.
Reading Fat Talk: Parenting in the Age of Diet Culture by Virginia Sole-Smith impacted both of our lives in a powerful and transformational way. This conversation talks about what it was like to be treated as fat, put on diets, and feeling like we were sub-people. It is an emotional topic for me, and also for Zach although he didn't cry as much as me!!

We also discuss Zach's upcoming show. He composed the music and it is scheduled to be off Broadway on May 4th. You can find more information on Zach's instagram: @1Zachband.

S2 E7 | Using Breath And Voice To Create Moments of Magic and Bliss with Brigitte Deneck
#getreal #getfree #inspiration
Brigitte Deneck was born in Northern France. She learned not to feel, talk or trust in her childhood home with her alcoholic father. She didn't see the impact of this until later in life. Brigitte studied in Paris during a time of upheaval on college campuses. One day, while in the university library, she watched local police beating college students outside her third story window.
This riot was the beginning of a historical shift and cultural transformation that occurred during the 1960's. Brigitte left her educational path to pursue her childhood passion of performance games. As the creativity of society blossomed, Brigitte participated in the US, France and then Poland, reveling in the new realms of theater being created. She loved when the audience and actors participated together, spontaneously bursting into song. This type of theater provided experiential learning, creating a transformation at the group level.
Brigitte's training in using her body led her to voice coaching. Seeing that her childhood trauma froze her ability to feel, talk or trust, she started learning to be free to be in her body and to be herself. She experienced a magic and bliss and wanted to share this with others. She trained to be a voice coach and has made a huge contribution to others for the last 20 years.
Her goal is to have people be empowered through authenticity of breath and voice AND authenticity of listening. Her commitment is to bring this work to as many people as possible, so they will be more aware of their power, be more authentic and not pretend in their bodies.
Brigitte can be found at BeYourVoice.co.uk. You can email her at BDeneck@beyourvoice.co.uk. She is offering a Free Taster (complimentary session) for people who email her as a result of seeing this show.
Bio:
As Brigitte grew up in northern France, she developed a passion for studies which led her to postgraduate studies in Politics in Paris, with a dream to become a journalist. What awaited her there in 1968 was actually a shift and a radical questioning of society and culture.
She wanted to let people know what was happening. But rather than journalism or politics which disappointed her, she chose to develop a path of personal development which she called Acting Dynamics.
She was also recovering from principles learned in childhood such as “Don’t Talk Don’t Trust Don’t Feel”, in group therapies. Then she discovered a physical discipline combining breath and voice which led to grounding, power, and direction. The authenticity of breath and voice is what she is now engaged in with an international team of colleagues and trainees.

Mary can be found at maryallenwriter.com. Her books mentioned below are available on Amazon. She is currently writing her third book which will be released in the next year.
BIO:
Mary Allen is the author of The Deep Limitless Air: A Memoir in Pieces, published in May 2022 by Blue Light Press. Her literary memoir, The Rooms of Heaven, was published by Alfred A. Knopf and Vintage Books.
She is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts creative writing fellowship and has published short work on the Psychology Today website and in Poets and Writers, Tiferet, Real Simple, Library Journal, The Chaos, CNN Online, and in the anthology If I Don’t Make It, I Love You: Survivors in the Aftermath of School Shootings.
She has an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and has taught in the University of Iowa’s nonfiction writing MFA program and the Iowa Summer Writing Festival at the University of Iowa. She currently makes a living as a writing coach and lives in Iowa City, Iowa.
Mary Allen’s themes are spiritual and psychological healing, love, the nature of life and death, and the ways our states of consciousness intersect with our experience of reality. Her writing — and the broad range of writing topics — reflect her belief that the personal and the practical, the painful and the numinous, the spiritual and the ordinary are all blended together in our lives and cannot be separated from one another without at least part of the truth being lost. www.maryallenwriter.com www.iowawritingcoach.com

S2 EP4 | Award-Winning Director David Winning Discusses Movie Secrets Plus His New Movie, Field Day
#getreal #FieldDay #getfree
David Winning, award winning director, was a repeat guest this week. He is promoting his new Hallmark movie that airs on October 14th at 8:00 PM called Field Day. The movie is a little of a different spin for Hallmark, still romance, but it is not the focus of the movie. (I know, what?)
The trailers look amazing and I can't wait to watch the film. This interview talks about David's 40 years in the movie business. I personally find it fascinating...how the movie is made, what do all the different people do, how it is put together, etc.
David's hope is to inspire others to pursue their dreams. He wanted to be in the film business as a young boy, and he did everything possible to make it happen. He has made 25 Hallmark movies and 46 movies in total. He has travelled the world doing what he loves. What a great life!!
Listen to the interview to find out more about how David turned his hobby into his job, the secrets behind Field Day, how Hallmark changed up their secret formula, the Actors strike, and what the first step is in pursuing your own dreams.
David's website is http://www.davidwinning.com. Check out his teenage footage, his movies, the actors he has worked with, and upcoming movies.
