Reinventing Themselves at 60 and 93 - An Amazing Mother-Daughter Conversation | Amy Goober & Gwen Borden | Hilary Burns | S4EP3

Amy Goober and Gwen Borden wrote a book together.  Why is that interesting?  Because Gwen is Amy’s mother.  Amy was always quoting her mother and decided to let the world benefit from her wisdom.  Their book is called, "My Mother Always Says,"  25 lessons for Finding the Silver Lining.  It's a great gift for Mother's Day for mothers,  daughters, sisters and friends.

Gwen Borden tells her amazing story about living through the blackout in World War II, alone in her dark house at 10 years old.  She learned to pretend, had confidence, and told herself, "I'll be ok."  This attitude has served her well.  When she became a young widow at 44, she reinvented herself and started a bereavement center.  At 93, she is still going strong and thinking of her next career.

Amy Goober, Gwen's daughter, has used her mother’s strength, fortitude and wisdom in her own life and with her coaching clients. .  Amy also re-invented herself many times and now runs Travel for Women, writes books, and creates  connections for women.  She borrowed her mother’s strong will and made sure their book got published.  Her work, trips, and groups can be found at www.amygoober.com

Thank you both for your wisdom, courage, and for being great examples for women.
