From Married With Children to Stand Up Comedy | Alix Elias | Hilary Burns | S6EP13

If you remember the show, Married with Children, you will remember Alix Elias who was a regular on the show.  She was one of the wife's girlfriends and they sat around bashing their husbands.  Married with Children is still being shown, so obviously, that still appeals to people!!

Alix started acting at age 17 and has made her living doing it.  It is rare in show business, but Alix is an example that it can be done.  Alix has a unique voice that is often cast in comedy, but Alix assured me that she can do serious roles too.

You’d never know that Alix is shy.  She is spunky, adorable, and energetic.  When she first started out in New York City, her rent was $12.00 a month.  Alix talks about how she started out, the different acting methods, and her renewed participation in stand up comedy due to a group she found during the pandemic.

Alix compares acting for a living with being a graduate student forever.  Join us for this fascinating and inspiring conversation.
