What happens when the roles of wife and mother begin to erase who you are?
In this powerful and deeply honest conversation, I sit down with author Emily Redondo to talk about her journey behind her book Wife, Mother, Drunk: An Intergenerational Memoir of Loss and Love. A raw and courageous look at motherhood, addiction, identity loss, and healing.
Emily opens up about the silent struggles so many women face but rarely talk about, the pressure to “hold it all together.” The loneliness that can exist even in a full home, and how coping can quietly turn into something much heavier.
This conversation isn’t just about struggle, it’s about awakening.
It’s about recognizing when you’ve lost yourself… and finding the courage to come back.
Whether you’re a parent feeling overwhelmed, a mother questioning your identity, or someone navigating your own healing journey, this episode will remind you:
👉 You are not alone
👉 You are not broken
👉 And it’s never too late to rewrite your story
This is a conversation about truth, grace, and reclaiming yourself, one step at a time.

LA County’s First Paramedic Pioneer
Bill was raised in Oklahoma by his grandmother, a sharecropper’s daughter who lived through the Great Depression. He grew up surrounded by love and timeless country wisdom.
Despite facing minor learning disabilities, Bill found his passion in sports when his family moved to Downey, California. In 9th grade, this passion transformed his life. He became a member of the Visigoths and the Y-Club, and later pursued a career as a draftsman. At just 19, he balanced attending Long Beach State in the mornings with working on the Apollo Space Program at North American Aviation in the afternoons. During his final year of college, he became an Army reservist and joined the LA County Fire Department.
In 1969, Bill volunteered for a groundbreaking pilot program called the Heart Rescue Unit, which would later evolve into the paramedics we know today. He cherishes the exhilaration of both bringing new life into the world and reviving it when necessary. Recently, paramedics celebrated their 50th anniversary. As a technical advisor on set for the TV show hit, “Emergency,” he helped make the show more realistic.
Bill has a fundamental belief that for every problem, there is a solution.
With this mindset, he launched three successful businesses.
His advice? “The value of your word is priceless.”

The Courage to Be Seen!
“Visibility is not vanity, it is a responsibility to shine your light from the inside out!” by Sanet Van Breda
For too long, many extraordinary people have mistaken humility for invisibility. They silence their voice, shrink their brilliance, and dim their light in the name of being modest, polite, or safe. But the truth is this: the world does not benefit from your silence. It benefits from your presence. The courage to be seen is not about ego. It is about ownership. Ownership of your story. Ownership of your gifts. Ownership of the responsibility that comes with knowing you carry something that can shift lives.
When you stop apologizing for your light, everything changes. You stop performing and start embodying. You stop seeking permission and start standing in truth. Visibility then becomes sacred, not a performance, but a commitment to impact. Because when you are willing to be fully seen, flaws, power, scars, brilliance you give others permission to rise. And that is never vanity. It is leadership.

ALLOWING THE FALL TO REBUILD ANEW
Join this week’s Fab Five Host Kim O’Neill, AMFT and “Let’s Talk” about “Allowing the Fall to Rebuild Anew" on Sunday, March 15th, 2026, at Noon Pacific (1 pm MT, 2 pm CT, 3 pm ET) on the Let's Talk Fabulous Show!
When unexpected changes occur, how do you typically respond? Do you try to stop the change? Do you try to overcompensate to fill in the gaps of what’s starting to crumble around you? Sometimes that might be what’s needed, but what if other times the best approach is to allow things to fall? Allow it to end? Allow the change to occur without any interference from you? And if you allowed that, what might happen then? What might that open space for? What might you and others be able to learn from that? And what might you then be able to rebuild afterwards?
This week we will hear from panelists Heather Taylor-Zimmerman, PhD., Andy Grant, Brooke Van Doren, MFT and Albert Duarte as they share their stories, tips and insights about how and why allowing the fall is sometimes the best thing to do.
Join us LIVE in our digital studio audience and comment via Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn! We want to hear from you! We will be interacting and sharing together with those comments throughout our LIVE show.
The Let’s Talk Fabulous Show is a Tamara L. Hunter Production airing on the e360tv Network, Fresh Takes Channel, which can be found on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, X.com, Google Play, and more.

Have you ever smiled in public while secretly replaying the same painful memory in your mind?
The betrayal.
The disrespect.
The apology you never received.
Resentment is one of the heaviest emotional burdens a person can carry—yet many strong people carry it quietly for years.
On this powerful episode of Girl Talk Mental Health, host Virginia Dale Manning, Licensed Professional Counselor and author of Set Apart sits down with Ja’Keya Kellom, LPC to unpack the hidden psychological and spiritual cost of resentment.
Because resentment doesn’t just affect your emotions.
It affects your peace, your relationships, your physical health, your faith, and your ability to move forward in life.
Many people believe holding onto resentment protects them.
But the truth is:
Resentment is often the emotional prison we build to avoid feeling the pain of what happened.
In this deeply honest and empowering conversation, we explore:
✔ Why resentment is so difficult to release
✔ The psychological cycle that keeps people emotionally stuck
✔ How unresolved pain turns into bitterness over time
✔ The difference between forgiveness and reconciliation
✔ How to finally release emotional weight without dismissing your pain
If you’ve ever felt trapped by anger, bitterness, or the memories of how someone hurt you, this episode will give you practical wisdom, emotional clarity, and spiritual insight to begin healing.
Because freedom isn’t pretending the pain didn’t happen.
Freedom is refusing to let the pain define your future.
