S5 E20 - When Instruction Is Banished and Learning Comes Alive with Coral Conant Gilles
In this week’s episode of Unlocked, I sit down with Storytelling Naturalist Coral Conant Gilles for a conversation that gently challenges many of our assumptions about education, value, and contribution.
Coral works primarily with children, often outdoors, using storytelling, imagination, and play to help young people connect with nature—and with themselves. She didn’t plan this path. In many ways, she arrived at it accidentally, by paying attention to what consistently brought people to life.
This is a conversation about learning—but also about legitimacy, self-trust, and the courage to stay with work that feels alive, even when it doesn’t fit familiar molds.
I hope you’ll join us.
