Why High Achievers Miss the Signs of an Identity Crisis Season 6 Ep 24
Success can hide a crisis most people never see.
High achievers often look confident, accomplished, and emotionally strong on the outside—but internally, many are quietly battling a deep identity crisis they don’t recognize.
In this powerful episode of Girl Talk Mental Health, host Virginia Dale Manning, LPC-S, Author of Set Apart sits down with special guest LaTreece Ross, LPC to uncover why high performers, leaders, and strong personalities often miss the warning signs that they’ve built their life around achievement instead of identity.
From a biblical standpoint, this conversation explores how success, responsibility, and external validation can slowly disconnect people from the identity God originally designed for them.
Many high achievers unknowingly confuse:
• Productivity with purpose
• Success with identity
• Responsibility with worth
• Approval with calling
And by the time they notice the emotional exhaustion, relationship struggles, or spiritual disconnection—it has already begun affecting their peace.
If you’ve ever felt like your success came at the cost of your peace… this conversation will resonate deeply.
