Exploring the Intersection of Faith & Mental Health S1E31

In 2019, Jeremy Butler was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder type 1. According to the National Institute of Health, Bipolar I disorder is defined by manic episodes that last for at least 7 days (nearly every day for most of the day) or by manic symptoms that are so severe that the person needs immediate medical care. Usually, depressive episodes occur as well, typically lasting at least 2 weeks. Jeremy hasn’t let bipolar define him, though! Jeremy enjoys baseball, traveling, science fiction, heavy metal, and video games. Jeremy has a bachelor's degree in History, a Master of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry degree. He has served as a missionary in Asia, a pastor for six years in New Mexico, and presently serves as a campus missionary with Christian Challenge at the University of Arizona.
