"Regina Partain Bergman struggled with an undiagnosed condition for the better part of 50 years, before it was diagnosed as POTS in 2017. An entrepreneur at heart, Regina has owned her own businesses since the early 1980's. In 1996, along with a co-partner, she opened a small staffing firm in a rural community. Her business partner passed away 6 years into the business. Over the course of the next six years, she continued to grow the business. Ultimately, they were in 6 locations, 2 states, had 3 divisions, 26 internal employees and 200 employees placed with clients and generating almost $5 million a year. Despite rave reviews from their clients they were not able to survive the financial crash of 2008 and by March of 2009 had to close the doors. Since then, she has owned a lakefront Bed and Breakfast as well as her current business, Bridgeport Strategy which she opened in January of 2015 where she helps business owners create a business that finally provides cash freedom, time freedom and enhanced relationships because they are no longer stressed out about a struggling business. But it hasn’t always been easy. Since she was in her teen years (the late 1960’s), Regina has struggled with a condition that was highly frustrating and not diagnosed until early 2017. This condition, known as POTS – Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, is a dysfunction (or perhaps a dis-regulation) of the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system is responsible for regulating such things as your heart rate, blood pressure, etc. Important things for carrying on everyday life functions. Additionally, around 2005 she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and experienced a great deal of pain and limited mobility as a result of this condition. Miraculously, in January 2017, this condition completely disappeared.
