The Visionary Poet S3E22

"Andy was diagnosed with colour-blindness and partial eyesight at a very early age (he struggles with shades) and he has about 10% vision in his right eye. Andy took a lot of bullying at secondary school, with not a lot of support from teachers. He was often dismissed as lazy and clumsy, and he left school with next to no qualifications. Through sheer willpower he eventually got to University when he was 28 where his creativity really started; however he was told he had Dyspraxia when he was 29. Andy struggled throughout his 30s, not really settling at work (caused in part by Dyspraxia) before going into a long-term job when he was 34. However, as the job went into redundancy, he then contracted Diabetes when he was 39 in 2011. Andy N is now the author of ten poetry collections, the last two being ‘Changing Carriages at Birmingham New Street’ and ‘From the Diabetic Ward’. He is also the co-host of Chorlton Cum Hardy’s Spoken Word night ‘Speak Easy’. Andy does ambient music under the name of Ocean in a Bottle and does the music for the band ‘Polly Ocean’ and runs / co-runs multiple podcasts, including ‘Spoken Label’ and ‘Not the TV Guide’. ‘Birth’ is his debut novel. #AndyN Connect with Andy: https://linktr.ee/andynartist / andynstorytellerpoet / andynwriter Connect with the host: InvisibleCondition@e360tv.com"
