S2 E16 - Dr Dawn Chesser
The Rev. Dr. Dawn Chesser is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. After completing her Bachelor of Arts at Southern Arkansas University in her home state of Arkansas, she went on to earn a Masters of Divinity and then a PhD in Liturgical Studies at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. Dawn is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and over her thirty years of ministry has served congregations in Illinois and Tennessee, taught in two colleges and two seminaries, and served for five years the Director of Preaching for Discipleship Ministries of the United Methodist Church in Nashville, Tennessee. She is currently a member of the Holston Annual Conference where she serves as the pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. She lives in Knoxville with her husband, Scot Danforth, and their three dogs and one cat.
Scot and Dawn are proud parents to two adult sons and two amazing daughters-in-law. In her free time Dawn enjoys traveling, reading, swimming, and working on home improvement projects.
