Andrea Goldner is a lifelong caregiver, children’s book author, and advocate for families facing the often unseen challenges of medical and emotional care. Born in Philadelphia and blind in her left eye since birth, she grew up navigating a misdiagnosed vision treatment, bullying, and academic challenges—yet found resilience through athletics and determination. At 54, Andrea was diagnosed with high-level ADHD, a revelation that finally brought clarity to the unique way her mind works and affirmed the intelligence and adaptability she had spent years underestimating. For more than three decades, Andrea has devoted herself to caregiving in all its forms—raising her own children, serving as a top 1% nanny, and providing medical and emotional support to seniors. Her most meaningful experience came when caring for her mother through her final days. Later, witnessing her husband’s journey caring for his mom with Alzheimer’s deepened her belief that caregivers deserve better systems of support. Motivated by these experiences, Andrea helped develop ProxWell, a proximity-wellness platform designed to help families coordinate care with clarity and ease, no matter where they are. Her insight and compassion were instrumental in shaping a tool that empowers caregivers to communicate, collaborate, and show up for their loved ones with less stress and more confidence. Andrea is also the author of four published children’s books, with two additional titles forthcoming in her series, The Adventures with Nanni Andi. Inspired by her years as a nanny, her stories capture the warmth, wonder, and real-life adventures of childhood—reflecting her lifelong commitment to nurturing connection and joy in the lives of others.
