As the Chief Growth Officer for Giesler LLC, Captain (Ret) Herman “Arch” Archibald develops
and executes all aspects of Giesler LLC’s growth strategy, including business development,
capture, proposal operations, strategic pricing, and customer engagement. Archibald has been
approved to assume the role of Chief Operating Officer effective 01 January 2023. As such, he
will be second in command at Giesler LLC and oversee all aspects of operations within the
company including, marketing, financial growth, and sales.
While on active duty, Archibald served as the Commanding Officer, Naval Computer and
Telecommunication Area Master Station Pacific; Commander, Task Group 1010.3; and Director,
Naval Network Pacific Enterprise until his retirement on 1 August 2018.
An Information Warfare and Surface Warfare qualified officer, Archibald’s operational
assignments include C5 Department Head, USS NASSAU (LHA 4); Principal Assistant for
Combat Information Systems, USS HARRY S. TRUMAN (CVN 75); Deputy G6 U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers, Gulf Region Division/Project and Contracting Office Baghdad, Iraq;
Commanding Officer, Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station in Manama, Bahrain;
Deputy N6 and Information Superiority Officer, U.S. Second Fleet/ Combined Joint Operation
from the Sea Center of Excellence Norfolk Virginia; and CIO Governance Branch Head, U.S.
Special Operations Command; Assistant Chief of Staff for C4I/N6 and CIO at U.S. Naval Forces
Central Command, U.S. FIFTH Fleet, and Combined Maritime Forces Manama Bahrain.
Archibald earned a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of
Phoenix and a Master of Strategic Studies from Air War College, Air University Maxwell AFB,
AL. His decorations include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various unit and campaign awards.
