Sensitive Solutions To Difficult Conversations - ANNETTE CASTILLO
Annette Castillo is the founder of Sensitive Solutions which provides health education to community families and builds communication between parents and their children. Sensitive Solutions offers group classes for ages 9-14 years of age on topics such as puberty, sex education, healthy relationships, peer pressure, and social media awareness. She has educated and connected with over 1200 families that have attended her classes. PTA and PFO organizations have hired and supported multiple classes within the community. Annette is also a California Credentialed School Nurse working in the Newport Mesa Unified School District for the past 23 years. She specializes in medical care and mental health services for ages 5-21 years with an emphasis on Adolescent Medicine. She also provides health education within the classroom setting and individual teaching with her clients. Previously, Annette was a Bachelor prepared Registered Nurse at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, California with experience in both Orthopedics and Neurology. She was the Charge Nurse and assisted with the development of the “Joint Works” program within Orthopedics at Hoag. She also worked as a Case Manager, managing individual client cases and providing after-home care and resources for families in need. She has her Master's in Health Education from Purdue and is working on her Doctorate in Education. Annette has five children and lives in Orange County, Ca. She enjoys spending time with her family-cooking, going to the beach, watching movies, laughing, and communicating!
